What is the SiteMap in CRM?

SiteMap is the primary navigation section that every User uses to move between Areas, Subareas, Entities, etc. The SiteMap can be seen from almost every part of CRM, just specific functionalities hide or remove it from the browser. It was implemented since CRM 11 and as expected, it had a lot of changes on its behavior and structure. If you’re using CRM 365, you’ll see it as the image below:

Other versions of CRM such as 13 and 11, have a very different SiteMap. However, the functionality and the goal of the SiteMap still the same and it can be modified with the same methods.

In the next tutorial, I’ll show how to modify the ribbon by adding a new button.
